Oscar ~Ryan Family
I am making myself very much at home with my new parents. My name is Oscar and I love playing
and taking walks with the new friends I have made. I think everyone should pet me! I have sent
along pictures so that you can see how much I have grown in just two weeks. I think I like my new
home and will keep these people!
(Another Letter from Oscar's Family Below)
We have been meaning to do this for a long time. Oscar is doing great. He loves his yard and
loves to play with all of his toys. He especially likes to play with the ball. He is great at entertaining
himself and stealing our socks(even off of our feet when he can!) Sending a quick synopsis of his
growth, every 4 weeks. He has brought us much entertainment and enjoyment. We are so glad
that we were lucky enough to find you!
We'll try to be better at keeping you posted on his progress! He had made many friends. He thinks
everyone should want to be "his bud" sounds like a trait inherited from Rusty!

(Letter from Cody Below)
Hi! My name is Cody.I was brought home by the Creek family on Nov.18th,2000. I'm really sorry that I didn't write sooner.
I've been sincerely meaning to write and thank you. My new family loves me alot! And they always brag about you and how much you loved us and took care of us.
I'm growing real fast! I've been averaging a 4-pound gain a week.I went to the vet yesterday and I weighed 29.4 pounds! My family makes sure I get to my doctor for my regular shots and check ups.And they exercise me....I love to run! Sometimes my new family has a hard time keeping up with me!
I've been in puppy school for the last 4 weeks and graduate next week. I like it because I get to meet other dogs. I sometimes would rather play with them than listen to the new "rule" they're trying to teach us, but we practice at home! :)
My favorite things to do are: play! play! play!
I love to play with my new toys, especially the squeaky ones; and now I am learning to retrieve. But I like to tease and make people try and get it from me first! :) Or I'll sneak up on them and get the toy from them!
I also like to put my paw in my water bowl and watch "splash" when I jerk the bowl. Or I'll drag the bowl around the floor and splash water that way! :)
I sometimes like to dig outside, but new family tries to block my digging efforts with bricks! :) And our vet just told them to sprinkle chili powder in the area so I won't dig!
My new family also takes me shopping at Petsmart! I like to ride in the car to go to pick out new treats and toys.
I've done well inside....I bark at the front door when I have to go potty. And sometimes my family lets me have "the run of the house" while they run errands. And I've been good every time! :)
I just recently learned to shake! I get a treat when I shake...and I can do it with each paw too!
I have my own special pillow to sleep on- though I like the corner of the couch or fireplace hearth better! I had alot of fun with the snow lately! I helped shovel....well, actually , I jumped in the piles of snow! I like to stick my nose and part of my face in the snow, then walk like that a couple of feet. It sure felt good on my face! Then I learned how fun it was to roll in it!
I have a friend next door name buddy that I play with. He's a Golden Retriever too, and he's one week older than me. We play almost every day..chasing each other, playing tug-of-war with toys and we even talk out loud to each other!
My new family wanted me to thank you. They felt lucky that I'm here and say they're having lots of fun with me. I hope all my brothers and sisters are as happy with their new families as I am with mine!
Thank you
Cody Creek
P.S.Here are some pictures of me growing since I went home with the Creeks.
( I have scanned a few and placed them above)
(Thanks to Cody and his Family, for the update)

Theresa and George,
Hi- just wanted to send you a few photos to let you guys see how Seirra is doing.
She has really brought alot of joy to our lives and I'm glad that we decided to go with her. Hope all your dogs are doing well , but often wonder if Sierra ever thinks about them ~ wierd huh?
Just to let you know it only took two weeks for potty training. Golden's are really smart.
Right now we just finished with all of her shots. Probably in a month she will be fixed so hopefully everything goes well with that.
Anyway, Thanks again,
Robyn and Danny Miesner

Dixie ~ The Vollmer Family ( The Day She Went Home Daisy and Rusty's baby)
Letter From Volmer Family
(pictures on the way)
Hey Theresa! Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. Dixie is about 40lbs.
and growing. The vet said she is one of the most well behaved puppies she's
seen. She now has all of her shots and has been fixed. She looks a lot like
Daisy but, I think she is going to be the size of Rusty. She loves it when
she gets to go to Grandma & Grandpa's because there are other dogs to play
with. She loves playing ball and can't get enough of it. Dixie also loves
to help her dad sweep the garage (ha! ha!). She can sit, lay down, shake
hands, roll over, and play catch. We are trying to teach her to catch the
ball in her mouth (it's going slowly). She hates the leash and would rather
walk on her own but, she is getting used to it. I will try to sscan some
pictures and send them later.

Another Letter From Volmer Family
Hi Theresa! I've finally got a picture of our little Dixie for you.
Rusty and Daisy would be proud!
She has just gotten out of the water in this picture. As most
retrievers do, she loves the water! She has her own baby pool, but would rather
have the hose squirted all over her.
I would love to bring her by sometime so you guys can see how much
she's grown and to play with the other dogs. I'm ready to get her a little
buddy but haven't convinced my husband yet. Love the website!
Keep up the great work and the beautiful puppies!

Letter From Hall Family
I just wanted to write you guys and let you know Shyla is doing well.
She is our baby. She is definately a water dog, every chance she gets she's
in water. We bought one of those kiddy pools and fill it up and she has
a ball, but if we dont keep up, with filling it up ,she puts her paws in
their water bowl. But I think she is the best thing that ever happened
to Nugget ,of course except for us being his owner (lol). When we go to our
parents house in the country , the dogs just love it, but we don't love
all the ticks and fleas they get.But Shyla looks foward to the bath
'cause it's water. Nugget is not much of a water dog he's a wimp. Nugget
being here helped in lots of ways with her he taught her to sit, and to
lay down and to fetch, she sees him doing all of these things . But the
only bad thing is she looks up to nugget for almost everything, like
she has to get his permission on things I guess I'm a little jealous.
(Thanks to Shyla and her family, for the update)
